ALUMINUM PERGOLAS QUESTIONS.

Will an aluminum pergola handle Park City snow?

Yes — every system we install is engineered for the local snow load. Wasatch Front is around 30 psf, Park City 60+, Eden 80+. We spec accordingly.

How long do they last?

25-30+ years. Powder coating doesn't fade significantly. We've never replaced one due to material failure.

Can it attach to my house?

Yes — attached pergolas are common. We engineer the wall connection for snow and wind loads.

What about wind?

Aluminum pergolas hold up well in Wasatch wind. For high-wind sites (canyon mouths, foothills), we use heavier-gauge framing.

Do louvers leak when closed?

Quality louvered systems (Struxure, Apollo) seal tight when closed and shed water through integrated channels. Cheaper systems can drip — we don't install those.

What's the lead time on materials?

Fixed-roof systems: 3-5 weeks. Motorized louvered: 6-10 weeks (made to order).
